Impact

The Activities Week is designed to reinforce positive behaviour in our young people. We do this by developing an individual point system that is tallied at the end of the week and rewarded with ‘Gold’, ‘Silver’ and ‘Bronze’ prizes according to the amount of points scored. Points are given for several reasons: for winning a particular game or event; outstanding behaviour; acts of kindness; courageous exploits, and a demonstration of creativity to name just a few.

As declared by participants, they valued the vital lessons of ‘teamwork, respect and partnership’, the way it ‘boosted [their] social skills’ as it was something they had previously been lacking in, and the way in which it keeps them ‘off the streets’.
